Giant clothing firm Jet Stores opened a new branch in the mining town of Hwange, Friday.
It becomes the second branch In Hwange district after the one located in Victoria Falls.
The clothing entity, a subsidiary of Edgars Stores is on an expansion drive throughout the country after recently opening the Kwame Nkrumah and Mutoko branches.
Jet Chain Managing Director Peter Mnyama told Indaba that the opening of the branch in the mining town will be one of their biggest business opportunities as it marked the clothing firm’s expansion in this economic district.
“Now we are closer to our Hwange clients. Not everyone in Hwange would want to travel to Victoria Falls to our Jet shop. The new branch will be a big opportunity for us in this economic zone,” Mnyama said.
Mnyama appreciated the efforts made by Hwange Colliery Company in welcoming them and promised to work closely with the community of Hwange.
Hwange Colliery Operations Manager Msekeli Maphosa welcomed Jet Stores in Hwange and encouraged them to work positively with community.
“We want us to have a solid relationship with the community. We ask you to maintain Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by employing the locals,” he said.
Clients who were part of the colourful event walked away with assorted prizes after being offered an intriguing promotion. Indaba
