Police have arrested a fugitive Chinese fraudster, Zhao Jiaotong, the director of E-Creator, a Ponzi scheme that left several Zimbabweans screaming after duping them of varying amounts of hard cash invested in his enterprise.
National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed his arrest Thursday.
Duped individuals and corporates have been invited to report to their nearest police station to assist the law enforcement organisation with investigations.
However, Asst. Comm Nyathi warned the public from investing their hard-earned cash into unverified schemes.
“We continue to implore members of the public to exercise due diligence before making any payments to Ponzi schemes purportedly offering quick investment returns,” he said. Nhau/Indaba
