Zim Teen Rapper Shines In UK

Fourteen-Year-Old Zimbabwean rapper, Tawana Macgrath, is on cloud nine.

He received a Commander’s Coin and personal letter from the Royal Air Force UK.

Since Tawana’s establishment in the music industry, and his appearance at the Voice Kids UK finals, he has taken the music industry by storm.

He impressed a panel of four judges during his performance at the Voice Kids UK, last year, in December.

The platform propelled him to attract the attention of Swedish music producer, Niclas Lundin.

“My performance on the Voice Kids UK, charmed the judges like Will.i.am, Pixie Lott, Danny Jones and Ronan Keating.

“It gave me confidence and I have since received a Commander’s Coin and a personal letter from the Royal Air Force UK.

“It is more than just a thank you or a pat on the back, it is something tangible to remember the moment.”

Tawana said he was working with a Swedish producer for his upcoming single.

Niclas is a well-known artist and producer in Europe.

He has over 150 songs played in 20 different countries.

“The song will be released soon so keep an eye on our platforms. Niclas believes in my talent and he had to fly from Sweden to work with me.

“He was in England for three consecutive days, which is not something small.”

The young singer has also worked with the iconic American songwriter/producer Alan Roy Scott and produced a single due to be released this year.

Alan has worked with legendary musicians such as the Notorious B.I.G, Celine Dion and Luther Vandrose.

“I have also worked with Zimbabwean producer Lazzie T, who produced two songs for me.

“The first is called Wait on Me and is currently playing on radio in the UK, Brazil and America.

“It’s also available on Spotify, YouTube, iTunes and

social media,” said Tawana.

He is working on a song set for release tomorrow. H-Metro
