Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo has once again demonstrated his penchant for extravagant gestures, gifting four female dancers from Jah Prayzah’s Third Generation Band brand-new Toyota Aquas and awarding the celebrated musician US$20,000 in cash.
The lavish rewards followed an electrifying performance during Saturday’s Shutdown gig held at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC), where Jah Prayzah and his team wowed an audience that included prominent figures such as Chivayo himself.
The Harare Shutdown concert was described as nothing short of spectacular, with Jah Prayzah’s world-class performance and the synchronized energy of his band leaving attendees in awe.
Chivayo, praised the dancers for their electric energy, vibrant smiles, and tireless dedication, which kept the crowd on their feet for three straight hours. “These young women are a shining example of how talent coupled with dedication can set you apart,” Chivayo wrote in a heartfelt social media post.
Acknowledging the dancers’ hard work, Chivayo directed them to Enterprise Car Sale to collect their Toyota Aqua vehicles, symbolizing his admiration for their relentless pursuit of excellence. Jah Prayzah, whose mentorship and exceptional vision have been key to the band’s success, received US$20,000 in cash as encouragement to continue showcasing Zimbabwean talent on global stages.
This is not the first time Chivayo has turned heads with his generosity. Recently, alongside Hon. Scott Sakupwanya, he gifted US$250,000 to the Zimbabwe Warriors national football team and delivered 20 Toyota Aquas to the 2024 ZIFA Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL) champions, Scottland.
Their combined efforts have been widely praised for significantly boosting Zimbabwean football development. “As we approach Christmas, this small gesture is to encourage you and your team to continue excelling,” Chivayo wrote. Nhau/Indaba
