The Precious Children’s Arts Organisation (PICA) is set to host the ZVEDU Tese concert, a vibrant celebration of children and youth in the performing arts.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 4:00 pm at the Presbyterian Church Hall, 5 Stoney Road, Greencroft, Harare.
Bringing together five dynamic performance groups—Elysium Magna, Team Mamero, House of Talents, Simba Arts, and PICA’s own ensemble—the concert promises an afternoon filled with energy, passion, and creativity. The performers will present a wide array of artistic expressions, including drama, dance, spoken word, and music.
ZVEDU Tese is more than just a showcase; it’s a celebration of the artistic potential and rich diversity of Zimbabwe’s young people. Capturing the essence of Christmas—a season of love, giving, and unity—the event serves as a platform to highlight their extraordinary talents. Beyond entertainment, it seeks to inspire community spirit and emphasize the importance of supporting the next generation of artists.
Audiences can expect a spectacular production, with every act carefully crafted to entertain, inspire, and move people of all ages. From powerful stage performances to captivating dance routines and heartfelt poetry, the concert is designed to leave a lasting impression.
Speaking about the significance of the event, PICA Executive Director Chipo Basopo said: “This concert is a testament to what young people can accomplish when they are given the tools and opportunities to thrive. It’s also a moment to reflect on the season of giving, as we come together to celebrate the unique stories and talents of our youth.”
In addition to the performances, the concert will provide a platform for community interaction, as attendees will have a chance to engage with the performers and celebrate their achievements together. It’s an event designed to unite families, friends, and neighbors through a shared appreciation of creativity and the performing arts. Nhau/Indaba
