A daring bogus medical doctor deployed himself to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals posing as a Physician Registrar, Nhau has learnt.
According to a statement released by the hospital, the fake doctor had infiltrated the hospital’s Accident and Emergency Department.
“The matter was discovered after our vigilant Casualty Staff doubted his medical proficiency and made some inquiries. The suspect has been handed over to the police who are now handling the matter,” the statement read.
The hospital did not shed light on what the suspect was actually up to but urged staff members and the public to remain vigilant and be on the look out for such individuals breaching their institution’s “complex systems”.
This latest case comes on the back of numerous reported cases involving “bogus” soldiers, police officers and State security agents, who seem to be on a spree to commit crime.
