Teachers In Massive Salary Climbdown

Some unions representing teachers have revised their salary demands from US$500 basic salary to US$360 per month after a meeting with President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Monday.

Another round of stakeholder meetings is lined up, with the National Joint Negotiating Council (NJNC) scheduled to convene next week.

An internal memo seen by ZTN gives the strongest indication that they are angling for at least US$360 per month. ZTN
