Flash floods hit some parts of Chitungwiza following heavy rains Friday afternoon.
Some houses in Unit A Extension, which were built on a wetland, experienced flash flooding.
Other areas in Zengeza and Manyame Park also experienced flash floods due to the heavy rains.
“Most of our drainage systems are full of litter disposed by residents, Rufaro Road haisikufambika, Manyame Park vanhu vakuboora madurawalls kuti mvura iwane exit way,” posted one resident in a WhatsApp group for Chitungwiza residents.
Reports so far indicate that some Chitungwiza residents lost property worth thousands of dollars. Nhau/Indaba
