Self-exiled academic and former Minister of Higher and Tertiary education, Professor Jonathan Moyo Friday morning raised the ire of Twitter users who accused him of deception following his post criticising the Citizens Coalition for Change.
“#PlzAnswerAnyone As a brand new party formed in Jan 2022; with no link to any current or past political party; without having held a founding congress; with no ideology; with no constitution and with no structures; how can, or on what basis does, #CCC claim anyone as its member?” Prof. Moyo said on his Twitter handle.
This did not go down well with some of his follower. Below are some of the comments…
If the party (CCC) is ‘memberless’, as a consequence of ‘not having an ideology nor a founding congress’, why then do you lable those you disagree with, ‘toxic, intolerant members of a cultist organization? So CCC has or doesn’t have members depending on what you had for supper

I am surprised this is coming from a Professor. I am a CCC member by choice not by all those things you mentioned. We are simple laymen…we don’t need paperwork to be members of or to vote for CCC…we don’t need history congress or stuff we need CHANGE sir.

1/ We told opposition people that this m****i is not one of us but some people never learn. Here he is trying to invalidate the claims that the butchering of Moreblessing Ali was politically motivated. As if Zanupf only butchers those who have membership cards of the opposition.

Jonathan. The name of the political party alone answers your how and on what basis question. When CITIZENS COLLATE for CHANGE, then they’re duly members of the CCC. It’s an organisation for Citizens. You’re a Prof but you seem to display ignorance and foolishness a lot
