Beer Outlets & Night Clubs To Remain Shut As ED Eases Lockdown


President Emmerson Mnangagwa has announced that beerhalls, bars and night clubs will remain closed as he eased the current national lock down to Level Two.

Addressing the nation from State House Tuesday, Mnangagwa adjusted business operating hours from 8am to 7pm while the curfew has been adjusted to start at 10pm until 5.30am.

Intercity travel has also been allowed with transporters being urged to observe laid down Covid-19 protocols.

However, bottle stores have been given the greenlight to sell takeaways until 4pm while restaurants and bars within hotels or lodges shall operate between 8am to 10pm.

Mnangagwa also announced that all work places should be decongested to 50 percent of the workforce while public gatherings are not to exceed 100 people.

The new measures will be reviewed in two weeks. Nhau/Indaba
