SIKHALA FURTHER REMANDED

Zengeza West legislator and MDC Alliance deputy chairperson Job Sikhala’s case on inciting public violence has been remanded to November 30, 2020.

He is currently on $50 000 bail and appeared at Harare Magistrates Court Thursday morning.

The State led by Constance Ngombengombe told the court that they will have his docket ready by November 16 and serve the Defence with State papers to prepare their responses by that day.

Sikhala’s lawyer Harrison Nkomo agreed and told the court that if the State fails to provide a trial date by 30 November, they would make an application to remove Sikhala from remand.

Presiding magistrate, Trynos Utahwashe remanded him to 30 November pending announcement of a trial date. Nhau/lndaba
