The third edition of the Cimas iGo Pedal to Wellness cycling event drew close to 300 participants including children, at Borrowdale Office Park on Saturday turning the venue into a hub of energy, colour, and community spirit.
Organised by Cimas Health Group through its iGo wellness division the annual event promotes heart health, fitness, and active lifestyles. This year’s ride coincided with the build-up to World Heart Day, commemorated globally on September 29, and was themed “Promoting Heart Health & Active Lifestyles.”
The cycling challenge featured three categories: a 45km ride for seasoned cyclists, a 22.5km mid-distance race, and a 4.5km fun ride for children.

Riders of all ages were cheered on by family, friends, and spectators as they pedaled through the morning.

Every finisher received a medal in recognition of their effort and commitment.
Dr. Nicola Misi, Head of Cimas iGo expressed satisfaction with the turnout noting the importance of such wellness initiatives in addressing the growing prevalence of chronic illnesses.

“We are delighted with today’s event and the number of people who came out to participate. Pedal to Wellness is about more than just cycling; it is about promoting
cardiovascular health, encouraging people to be active, and reminding families that wellness can also be fun,” Dr. Misi said.
“Cimas iGo is all about preventive health better nutrition, active living, and long-term wellness. We encourage people to reach out to us for guidance on how to sustain these habits beyond today.”
The Wellness Corner, set up alongside the race, provided participants with access to coaches, dieticians, and wellness partners. Families took part not only in the cycling but also in engaging with information on the eight dimensions of wellness supported by iGo physical, emotional, social, spiritual, financial, intellectual, occupational, and environmental.
Pedal to Wellness has grown into one of Zimbabwe’s leading wellness cycling initiatives, blending sport, health awareness, and family fun in one platform.
