High temperatures of the summer season seem to get worse with each passing day, but this will not stop merrymakers from doing what they do best.

It is yet another fun-packed weekend with a mixed bag of events countrywide. Here is what is in store for you:

Commemorative Gig For Dewa
In honour of the late legendary superstar Tongai Moyo Dewa’s contribution to the local music industry, Dewa’s son, Peter Moyo, dendera musician Suluman Chimbetu, jiti crooner Baba Harare and contemporary musician Andy Muridzo headline the Dewa Commemoration gig at the Platinum Pick n Save in Mutare tonight. The gig will be commemorating the 11th anniversary since the death of the sungura superstar.

Baba Shero In Kwekwe
Sungura king, Alick Macheso and the Orchestra Mberikwazvo will serenade guests at Gulez Gardens this evening.

WBC Championship
Boxing lovers are in for an adrenaline driven bout as Zimbabwe’s top female boxer and champion Kudakwashe “Take Money” Chiwandire takes on Mexican Zulina Munoz at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC). She will be defending her World Boxing Council (WBC) Interim Superbantamweight title.

Reggae Party In Avondale
All reggae lovers, Avondale in Harare is the place to be tonight. Mannex Motsi and the Zimreggaestrs band will be dishing out conscious vibes supported by Elder Potato, Slash Tee and Raven Duchess at Position Restaurant and Bar from 7pm.

Oskido Headlines Gwanda
South African record producer, Oscar Sibonginkosi Mdlongwa aka Oskido is set to perform at Phoenix Shisanyama tonight supported by superstar Diliza, Kay Kid Umfanomsotho, Zamoe Radge, Zhezhingtons and DJ Keith.

Voltz @ MSU Zvishavane Bash
Tonight, hip-hop singer Voltz Jt will take his latest offering “Life of Muvhimi” to Zvishavane at Club Downtown for a performance headlining the MSU Zvishavane Bash. Admission: $5 and Students with IDs $3.

DJ Joe Mentro Returns To Private Lounge For Freaky Fridays
Get freaky every Friday with Sexy Fusions and DJ Joe Mentro alongside DJ Sky, DJ Priest, DJ Philja Boi and DJ Cylas at Private Lounge.
On Saturday, Action Pak & Cici invade the “Strippers Paradise”. The group will be supported by the Sexy Fusions, DJ Love King, Mc Boer, DJ Apollo, DJ Sky, DJ Philja Boi and DJ Cylus. On both days, admission is only: $5. Dress Code: Red.

Summer Fridays At Holly’s Hotel
This Friday Holly’s Hotel hosts Millennium Queens alongside DJs on deck, Jah Rhodza, Ishman and Caleb from 3pm till late. Come Sunday, Fearless Dance Group take their act to this historical venue where they perform weekly supported by DJ Rhodza and Ishman from 7pm till late.

National Braai Day
Are you a braai and beer lover? Well, the day you have been waiting for is now a night away. Old Hararians Sports Club is the place to be for merrymakers this Saturday as Delta Beverages host the country’s biggest braai and beer festival celebrating Castle Lager. Loads of fun await revellers as Zim dancehall’s finest Winky D, Nutty O, Freeman and Enzo Ishall rock the venue with their best grooves from 10am till late. Admission: $10 and VIP: $50.

Sulu & Hwinza @ Pamusha Bar
Dendera singer Suluman Chimbetu and the Dendera Kings will be back-to-back with Zim dancehall chanter Hwinza this Saturday at Pamusha Restaurant and Bar in Selous (Halfway) from 7pm till pungwe. Admission: $5, VIP: $10.

Zimpraise Joyous Legacy Celebration
Gospel lovers are also in for a treat at Harare’s Glamis Arena where Zimbabwe’s biggest choral group Zimpraise celebrate their 15th anniversary. The event will also be graced by Joyous Celebration choir from 12pm to 9pm. Entry is absolutely free.

Fusion Mangwiro Launches “Mixed Feelings” Album
This Saturday Afro-contemporary group, Fusion Mangwiro launches Mixed Feelings” Album at Emagumeni, Helensvale Shops in Borrowdale supported by Afro-fusion singer Feli Nandi, R n B artiste Nyasha David, Dancehall Kedha, Mwenje Mathole, Taffie Matiure, Trubantu, Dough Major and Dingo Duke.

Big Zulu @ Sanganai/Hlanganani Expo
South African Rapper, Siyabonga Nene popularly known as Big Zulu, is billed to perform at the Sanganai/ Hlanganani World Tourism Expo gig billed for this Saturday at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) grounds in Bulawayo.

Fazak Ultimate Braai Challenge
As Hararians booze and braai, those in Bulawayo will also be treated likewise but there will be no booze. The Fazak Ultimate Braai Challenge is back after a five year break. Don’t miss out as Master Chefs battle it out this Saturday. There will be lots of prices to be won. Admission: Free.

Afro-Fusion Night
It’s Afro-Fusion night this Saturday with Garry Tight and the Tight family alongside Solution GC and Bravomuzik band at Leisure Centre in Ruwa from 7pm till late. Entry $5.

Family Show With Talking Guitars
Don’t miss out tomorrow’s Family Show with Talking Guitars the Liveband Jukebox at Club Hideout, Lochinvar (Southerton) from 2pm till late. Jumping castles, clown and face painting available.

Esylife Skin Care Launch
This Saturday Esylife launches skin care products at the Nexus-room corner 1st and Jason Strest at Batanai Mall.

Mbeu @Gava Restaurant
On Sunday it’s going down at Gava Restaurant in Belgravia where Mbeu
and the Mhodzi Tribe band are set to perform from 1pm till late. Entry is free.

Tiger Wheel Race Day
Don’t miss out the Tiger Wheel Race Day this Sunday at Donnybrook Raceway from 10am. Entry fee: $5 for adults and free entry for kids.

Kurai Makore @ Pamuzinda
