Baba Shero @Tanza Centre

Sungura King Alick ‘Baba Shero’ Macheso is back at his favourite hunting ground, Tanza Centre, near the iconic Aquatic Complex. The sungura king is backed by Faheem Somanje and his band Pengaudzoke. There will be no break for Baba Shero this weekend. On Saturday he is set to light up Marondera at Chipiwa Gardens where sungura fans in the capital of Mashonaland East are definitely in for a treat. On Sunday Baba Shero will be back in town, Kumajubhegi in Mbare at the famous Zebra Village.

Mafarochete At City Sports Bar

Back by Popular demand, City Sports Bar hosts raunchy dancer Beverly ‘Bev’ Sibanda and the Sexy Angels tonight at Corner Raleigh and Kaguvi Street from 6pm till regulated times. Tomorrow, it’s about competing. The downtown venue hosts a Pool Tournament dubbed ‘Clash of Titans’, a challenge between City Sports Bar and Club 263 from 3pm. Five Star Queens, DJ Mango Loops and DJ Smoke will perform live. Afterwards Blessing and the Blade add to the fun. He will perform from 6pm till regulated times.

Senior Lecturer Launches 29th Album

Who said sungura icon Madzibaba Nicholas Zakaria was out? Well, you got it wrong as Madzibaba and Khiama Boys launch their 29th Album at Nyaradzo Events Hub in Houghton Park tomorrow from 6pm to 9pm. The launch will coincide with Madzibaba’s birthday celebrations. The Senior Lecturer, a sungura doyen, turned 66 on April 5.
