Any fears of rain disrupting Zimbabwe’s most anticipated New Year’s Eve shutdown have been put to rest, with organisers of One Big Party confirming that the event will be fully tent-covered, guaranteeing an uninterrupted celebration regardless of weather conditions.

The mega show, set for December 31 at Glamis Arena, Harare Showgrounds, will be headlined by music powerhouses Winky D and Jah Prayzah, whose joint appearance has already positioned the event as one of the biggest entertainment highlights of the year.

Organisers say the installation of a massive tent structure is part of broader preparations to ensure comfort, safety and a seamless experience for thousands of fans expected to usher in the New Year through music.

With the rainy season in full swing, the assurance of a covered venue has been welcomed by fans, many of whom had raised concerns about possible weather disruptions. The tented setup means revelers can enjoy the performances without interruption, rain or shine.

Beyond the headline acts, One Big Party will feature a strong supporting lineup including Kurai Makore, Killer T, Chill Master and Feli Nandi, ensuring a packed programme from dusk on December 31 into the early hours of the New Year.

Adding to the buzz is the ongoing Chicken House ticket promotion, where fans who missed early-bird tickets can buy any Chicken House meal and secure entry to the event. The initiative has increased accessibility and further driven excitement as the countdown continues.

With major corporate partners on board Like Swan Valley Group, a weather-proof venue secured and two of Zimbabwe’s biggest artistes sharing one stage, One Big Party is shaping up to be more than just a concert it is a statement event.

As December 31 draws closer, one message from organisers is clear: rain will not stop the party. The tent is ready, the stage is set, and Zimbabwe is preparing to dance its way into the New Year.
