The Countdown Begins: One Big Party Set to Usher Zimbabwe Into 2026 in Grand Style

As the countdown to December 31 gathers momentum, excitement around One Big Party is reaching fever pitch, with fans already calling it one of Zimbabwe’s biggest entertainment moments of the year.

Set for Glamis Arena, the New Year’s Eve shutdown will be headlined by music heavyweights Winky D and Jah Prayzah, a combination that has set social media buzzing and sparked national conversation about the scale of the event.

Jah Prayzah and Winky D each command massive followings that cut across age, gender and social backgrounds. Their joint appearance has drawn interest from fans travelling from across the country, all eager to welcome the New Year through music.

The show is being organised by Chipaz Promotions, in partnership with tobacco value-chain company Swan Valley Group, which has come on board as the main sponsor. The collaboration has added more weight to an event already being described as a historic crossover.

Beyond the headline acts, the event boasts a strong supporting lineup including Kurai Makore, Killer T, Chill Master and Feli Nandi, promising a full night of entertainment from December 31 into the early hours of January 1.

Swan Valley Group managing director Mutemwa Ushewokunze described the partnership as timely, saying the event has all the ingredients to become a landmark moment in Zimbabwe’s entertainment history.

“This is now the Swan One Big Party, and we believe it’s going to be the most epic crossover Zimbabwe has ever seen,” he said. “Having two of the country’s greatest artistes performing into the New Year creates a unique moment for families and young adults to celebrate together.”

Adding to the excitement around One Big Party, organisers have introduced a unique ticket access point through popular fast-food outlet Chicken House, turning meals into gateways to the biggest New Year’s Eve shutdown.

Fans who missed out on early-bird tickets can now buy any Chicken House meal and receive their One Big Party ticket, a move that has sparked fresh interest and long queues at selected outlets.

The partnership has been widely praised for making tickets more accessible while blending music, food and celebration into one experience. With Chicken House already a favourite among urban youths and families, the promotion has further fuelled anticipation ahead of the December 31 showdown at Glamis Arena.

The offer comes as demand for tickets continues to surge, driven by the highly anticipated joint performance by Jah Prayzah and Winky D. For many fans, the Chicken House promotion has provided a second chance to secure entry to what is being billed as one of Zimbabwe’s biggest entertainment events of the year.

As the countdown to December 31 continues, Chicken House has effectively positioned itself at the centre of the celebration proving that this year, Zimbabweans will not only dance into the New Year, but also eat their way into it.
