Chipaz Promotions has escalated anticipation for the country’s biggest year-end music celebration, announcing that the highly-anticipated One Big Party has been moved to Glamis Arena for an even larger New Year’s Eve shutdown on 31 December.
The headline news? Winky D and Jah Prayzah — two of Zimbabwe’s most dominant, culturally defining artists — will share the same stage, in what is already being called one of the most historic line-ups of the decade.
The event, now features a beefed-up supporting cast including Killer T, Feli Nandi, Chillmaster Music and Kurai Makore, adding more firepower to a night already packed with star energy.
Chipaz Promotions said the venue change was driven by demand, with Glamis Arena offering the capacity required for what is shaping up to be a record attendance event.
For fans, the joint billing of Winky D and Jah Prayzah is more than entertainment — it is a moment of temporary unity in a music landscape often split between the “Gafa Family” and the “Wagwizi” loyalists. Their long-running rivalry, fuelled by contrasting identities and massive followings, has shaped Zimbabwe’s pop culture narrative for years.
From Winky D’s socially-charged Zimdancehall catalogue to Jah Prayzah’s polished Afro-fusion sound and international reach, both artists hold a powerful grip on the national imagination. Their appearance on the same stage is expected to draw thousands eager to witness two titans close off 2025 with an explosive showdown of hits.
With Harare gearing up for the grand finale, organisers say the 31 December shutdown is designed to “end the year the right way” — one big crowd, one big vibe, One Big Party.
