Rhumba Maestro Olomide Lands In Zim

Africa’s rhumba music supremo, Antoine Christophe Agepa Mumba, popularly known as Koffi Olomide, touched down at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport Thursday afternoon.

Olomide jetted into the country for an epic performance alongside other African music greats including contemporary music sensation Jah Prayzah and South Africa’s multi-award-winning Afro-pop duo Mafikizolo at a gig dubbed African Explosion in Kadoma.

The gig is set to ignite the gold mining town’s Odyssey Hotel where Afro-soul sensation Tamy Moyo, dendera kingpin Suluman Chimbetu and Zim dancehall chanter Enzo Ishall are set to dish out explosive supporting acts this Saturday.

The gig will be one of Zimbabwe’s biggest musical concerts of the year.

Music fans from all over the country are set to overwhelm the gold-rich city whose usable rooms are almost full. Nhau/Indaba
