Warriors Duo In Deadline Moves

Marvelous Nakamba has been linked with a move from Aston Villa to Premier League rivals Newcastle on a loan deal until end of season, Nhau Sport can reveal.

Nakamba has dominated transfer news during this window with possible moves to Valencia and Crystal Palace also in the mix.

This all came after the Zimbabwean impressed in Aston Villa’s 2-0 win over Newcastle recently. His performance saw Newcastle making an enquiry on the Warriors midfielder.

Nhau Sport is reliably informed Nakamba, who wanted to stay at Villa, has decided to join the Magpies.
A source close to the development described the reported move as “imminent”.

“It’s imminent and it’s happening. In as far as the player is concerned,” said the source.

“He didn’t want to move out of the Premier League and now that Newcastle opened talks, he is ready.”

The source added the only hurdle might be Aston Villa coach Dean Smith who wants him to stay.

“The coach is obviously saying stay. He has him in his plans but the boy wants regular game time which will not happen at Villa at the moment.
“Villa want him (Nakamba) as a cover and play cameo roles to kill games when they’re leading. But the player wants to play football regularly,” the source told Nhau Sport.

Meanwhile, another Warriors midfielder Marshall Munetsi has been linked with another transfer deadline move to Championship side Derby County.
Munetsi is currently at French top-flight side Stade de Reims.

Reports in France are that Reims have received a proposal from Derby for the Zimbabwean defensive midfielder.

The 24-year-old was also on West Bromwich Albion’s shortlist earlier on during this January window – Sheffield United have also recently made an enquiry.

The January transfer window in the Premier League closes this Monday at midnight. Nhau/Indaba
