Air Tanzania has introduced a fourth flight per week to Harare and instalments for clients willing to travel across the world with the airline, Nhau/Indaba reveals.

The carrier will make its maiden fourth flight this Saturday and is expected to land at Robert Gabriel Mugabe (RGM) International airport at 12pm.

All along the flight had been servicing the Dar es Salaam to Harare route thrice a week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Air Tanzania Traffic Liaison Officer, Tadious Mupondi told Nhau that the entity had seen it necessary to increase flights to Harare for customer convenience.

“Air Tanzania is proud to announce the introduction of a 4th flight between Dar es Salaam and Harare. The flight will be operated with an Airbus A220-300 on Saturdays departing Dar es Salaam at 9.40am and arriving in Harare at 12pm. It will leave Harare at 1pm and arrive in Dar es Salaam at 6.15pm (Tanzanian time which is one hour ahead of Zimbabwe) via Lusaka. This addition will commence on the 2nd of July 2022.”

Mupondi said the airline has also introduced a pay-by-instalment package for flight tickets targeting holiday makers as a customer incentive and ensuring air travel is affordable for all.

“We also have good news for holiday makers. Air Tanzania now introduces a pay-by-instalment for flight tickets. With this (Kibubu) facility, the maximum number of instalments is three. A minimum deposit of US$50 can secure you the seat and fare, while the last two instalments should complete the fare. This facility applies to all destinations that Air Tanzania flies to.”

“For example, a passenger can pay US$115 in instalments for a trip from Harare to Dar es Salaam which costs US$345 including the return. It gives customers incentivised options as some might find it difficult to raise the full ticket fare in a single payment,” he said.

Besides Harare, Air Tanzania also services the Mumbai, Nairobi, Lusaka, Lubumbashi and Comoros Islands routes and all these will be catered for through the Kibubu facility. Nhau/Indaba
