The Avenues Clinic held its 2025 Annual Doctors’ Appreciation Cocktail Wednesday evening at The Hyatt Regency, honoring the dedication and contributions of its medical professionals.
General Manager Mrs. Sibusisiwe Ndhlovu opened the event by addressing the assembled doctors and guests. She emphasized the clinic’s annual tradition of recognizing the unwavering commitment of its doctors. “Every year, we gather to celebrate and recognize the unwavering dedication of doctors across various disciplines who tirelessly serve in our hospital. Their commitment to excellence and patient care is the foundation of our success,” she noted.
Mrs. Ndhlovu also introduced the evening’s theme, “Getting It Right the First Time,” highlighting both the accuracy and efficiency required in diagnostics and treatment, as well as the hospital’s commitment to providing an optimal environment and resources to support its staff.
The program featured a series of testimonial videos. These testimonials showcased personal stories from patients whose lives were significantly improved through the expertise and compassionate care provided by the clinic’s doctors. The emotional narratives reinforced the impact of quality healthcare and the critical role played by the medical team in ensuring positive patient outcomes.
Key sponsors, including Spring Resorts, Dandemutande, and Nyaradzo Group, delivered brief addresses in support of the event. Their contributions were acknowledged as instrumental in upholding the high standards of the clinic’s operations.
As part of the evening’s program, all doctors were appreciated for their dedication and contributions to patient care. In addition, some doctors were awarded special retreat packages from sponsors, Spring Resorts, Dandemutande, and Nyaradzo Group in recognition of their exceptional performance. These exclusive awards served as an extra token of appreciation, rewarding their commitment to excellence and encouraging continued dedication to high-quality healthcare.
The Avenues Clinic Medical Director, Prof. Godfrey Ignatius Muguti, delivered the keynote address. Prof. Muguti acknowledged the clinic’s 42-year legacy and its continuous evolution, attributing much of its success to the dedication of its medical staff.
He emphasized the importance of ongoing investments in advanced medical equipment and highlighted several recent acquisitions.
Among these were state-of-the-art laparoscopic towers in the operating theatres, which have significantly enhanced the efficiency and outcomes of minimally invasive procedures. In the neonatal unit, the installation of Giraffe incubators has improved survival rates for premature infants, while the emergency unit now benefits from the integration of mobile ventilators that allow for rapid respiratory support during critical cases.
