Genius “Ginimbi” Kadungure might be lying lifeless but is “in charge” of what is happening at his funeral.
The businessman’s relatives told Nhau that they are simply following what they were told by the late socialite before he died on how exactly they should conduct his funeral.
His sister Juliet said they are simply adhering to what they were told, which is why burial has been delayed and is now set for Saturday.
“Ginimbi has what he wants to be done at his funeral and that is what we are simply doing,” said Juliet.
“He advised me that we should not rush his funeral proceedings. He said he wants his friends from the UK, America and other countries to come and attend and not miss the burial. That is the reason we have set burial for Saturday. Genius was a very generous man and it’s a big loss to us.”
She reiterated that Ginimbi would be laid to rest on the expansive grounds of his mansion, as we revealed on Sunday.
“He will be buried inside his residence on Saturday,” she said.
She also emphasised on restricting the number of mourners saying most people will be allowed on Thursday.
“We are going to limit people for now because there is not enough space. People will be gathered at his father’s residence and we will adjust going forward and I think starting on Thursday,” she said. Nhau/Indaba
