Media personality launches album

Award-winning model, master of ceremonies and transformational coach, Jefferson Muserera, is spreading his wings far and wide.
This week he released Herobasa, his debut gospel music album that is set to shake the market.
Speaking to Nhau Arts, Muserera said Herobasa explains the work that he has gotten into, preaching.
“Herobasa is talking about the work I have undertaken to preach the gospel through music. Seeing how much work I must undertake prompted me to come up with the album title,” Muserera said.
Herobasa comprises of six worship songs and four dance songs.
He says the music aims to bring “transformation joy and minister to people around the world”.
He says his compositions are inspired by the Holy Ghost and some come from dreams after being in ministry as a pastor for seven years.
“I came from a family of Levites were my grandfather was a pastor and my father is a pastor and I need to carry on that legacy” Muserera said.
He said the idea of coming out with a full album was to showcase his diverse abilities.
“With a single you cannot bring all the elements in one song so every song has its own style which is to showcase diversity as an artist. The big motive is to use that platform of music to change lives rather than making money.”
The media personality’s musical journey started in his early school days when he was part of an acapella group, Forever. After that he went on to become a backing vocalist for the late Joyce Simeti, and also Pastor Stanley Gwanzura, who has been his mentor for more than five years.
He was also part of Afrow, a gospel music outfit which saw him travelling around the country and gain a lot of experience.
Having been in media for more than 20 years, his love for the arts compelled him to come up with his own compositions.
A father of two boys and a girl, Muserera is married to Pastor Karen and they are looking forward to another baby on the way.
Growing up from devout Christian family, Muserera said music became a form of expression.
The man of the cloth turned 37 this year, an age where a lot of artists would have been seasoned and bloomed, but he said he had to let God groom him first before he knew it was the right time for a music album. Nhau/Indaba
