Mnangagwa To Announce Election Date Monday


President Emmerson Mnangagwa is set to reveal the date when this year’s harmonised elections today.

Mnangagwa announced the latest development in Binga last Saturday where he was commissioning classroom blocks at Mabobolo Secondary School.

This comes as the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) opened the voters roll to the public for inspection starting today until May 31.

“A day after tomorrow (Sunday) I will be announcing election day.”

He warned the crowd gathered to vote properly in order to protect and preserve Zimbabwe’s heritage.

“If we do not vote properly, people without Zimbabwe at heart will take over. We must protect it and preserve our heritage,” he said.

Mnangagwa is in Binga, Matabeleland North where he is set to launch the National Culture Month in commemoration of the country’s diverse African culture. Nhau/Indaba
