More Acts For Kadoma Gig

Music fans are in for a special treat on April 15 when the City of Kadoma hosts a giant concert headlined by top African stars Koffi Olomide, Jah Prayzah and the duo of Mafikizolo at Odyssey Hotel.

Afro-soul sensation Tamy Moyo, dendera kingpin Suluman Chimbetu and Zim dancehall chanter Enzo Ishall have been added to the list of local performers set to grace the epic gig dubbed ‘African Explosion’.

Prince Mharadze, who is coordinating the event, told the media that most logistics are now in place for the bash. Organisers decided to add the trio of Tamy, Sulu and Enzo to add variety to the musical explosion.

“We have decided to add Sulu to the line-up and he is expected to be the opening act if all goes according to plan.”

Mharadze confirmed that all the lined-up artists were ready to perform.

Thousands of music lovers and showbiz followers from as far as Harare, Gweru, Chinhoyi, Bulawayo, and even Zvishavane have been buying advance tickets and are set to converge in the gold-mining town for the historic gig, which Mharadze confirmed.

“We are also happy with the uptake of tickets at the event where we do expect a bumper crowd.”

He added that they expect Mafikizolo to touch down on Saturday while arrangements for Olomide, currently in Cape Town, South Africa, are being made. Nhau/Indaba
