Nathaniel Bassey Nailed It

Nigerian trumpeter, Nathaniel Bassey’s music hyped the Africa Day gospel concert at Celebration Centre in Borrowdale.

At the show dubbed “Fearless Praise”, the singer also exchanged valuable and life-changing notes with local artists.

However, the main scare around the concert was centred on whether the star was going to jet in on time and if the fans would show up.

Bassey jetted in a few hours before the show and the attendance was overwhelming, as tickets were sold out making it a huge success.

His act can be best described as flawless.

The Nigerian singer was performing in the country for the first time courtesy of Celebration International Ministries.

He shared the stage with The Cherayis, Janet Manyowa, Thembalami, Ezekiel Paul, Pastor Bonnie and Celebration Choir.

It was the Nigerian’s Adonai, which brought the house down as gospel fans got into groove mood.

More grooving followed when Bassey also performed some of his greatest compositions, including, Yeshuah, Hallelujah, Imela and Look What The Lord Has Done, all drawn from his rich catalogue.

He performed for an hour leaving fans requesting for more.

Maimba and Nkosie Kapswara were the event’s hosts and they were in sync with the crowd, keeping it hyped up.

Organisers were impressed by the turnout and pledged to plough the event’s proceeds into uplifting gospel music.

The song Hallelujah by Pastor Bonnie Deuschle featuring Ezekiel Paul was also played just before dinner. H-Metro
