It’s a Friday, as the month of June starts with yet another weekend lined up with loads of entertainment countrywide. Make it a point to follow your favourite entertainers this weekend.
Here is what to expect:


Fireworks At OK Grand Challenge

All is set for this year’s OK Grand Challenge finale set to be held at Borrowdale Race Course this Saturday. It will be a family show never to be missed as Zimbabwe’s top musicians including sungura ace Alick Macheso, trending contemporary musician Jah Prayzah, Chillspot Records Family-Fantan, Levels and Ribhe, Afro-fusion star Feli Nandi, dancehall musicians Uncle Epatan, Bazooker, Master H, King Her and DJ Made Her Believe headline the yearly event. Admission: $1 per head while the VIP goes for US$3.


Apart from music and booze, lucky winners are set to leave the event with cars as 40 motor vehicles are up for grabs among other prizes.


Baba Shero & Somandla Ndebele In Mash Central

Sungura lovers in Mount Darwin are in for an epic Friday as Alick Macheso and Orchestra Mberikwazvo back to back with Somandla Ndebele and Denda Brothers light up Tiringindi Gardens tonight from 8pm till late. Admission: $5


Dendera Night With Sulu @ Cresta Oasis, Bar Rouge

Zimbabwean dendera king Suluman Chimbetu and the Dendera Kings will be busy this week with shows dubbed “Dendera Nights”. Tonight he will be rocking Cresta Oasis Hotel from 7pm till late. Admission: $10


Tomorrow Suluman will storm Bar Rouge from 8pm till late. Admission: $10


Mark Ngwazi @ Pamusharukwa

Sungura star Mark Ngwazi and the Njanja Express thrill fans tonight at Granta Hall, Pamusharukwa in Matepatepa from 8pm till late. Admission: $5


ZIMA Ceremony

7 Arts Theatre hosts this year’s Zimbabwe Music Awards (ZIMA) ceremony running under the theme “Re-Imaging the Industry”. The event will be celebrating artists who produced quality work last year tomorrow in Avondale.


Freeman @Margolis Resort

Make a date with Zim dancehall chanter Freeman and the HKD Band, Afrobeats singer Boi Shona and dancehall musician, T Makwikwi tomorrow at Margolis Resort. Admission:$5, $3kids and VIP:$10.


Tiri VemumaStreets Album Tour

Popular Zim dancehall chanter Killer T’s legion of fans in South Africa are in for a super treat this weekend as he embarks on a tour promoting his latest album in the Rainbow Nation. Tonight at the Warehouse opposite ICC in Durban.


Tomorrow, Killer T and the Hot Property Band serenade fans in Cape Town at 33 Binder Street, Parrow.


The dancehall chanter winds up the weekend in Germiston at Germiston Lounge.


Mbeu @Bar Rouge

Afro-fusion singer Ashton Mbeu Nyahora and the Mhodzi Tribe Band perform tonight at Bar Rouge, Longcheng Plaza from 7pm till late. Admission: $10


Tomorrow, Mbeu will grace Brace Nite Club in Goromonzi with a performance at the Miss Brace 2023 finals from 8pm till late. Admission:$5


Baba Harare @Palace Hotel

Talented jiti musician Baba Harare showcases his talent tomorrow at Palace Hotel in Harare CBD (Cnr Jason Moyo and 10th Avenue). Admission: $3


Dongo @Jongwe Corner

Urban grooves sensation Trevor Dongo will this sunday heat up Harare’s Jongwe corner with his cool vibes. Not a show to miss for those who love cool music

Progress Chipfumo In Budiriro

Sungura musician, Progress Chipfumo and Sounds of the Motherland jump-start the weekend in Budiriro tonight with a performance at Status Night Club, Budiriro 2 Shops from 7pm till late. Admission: Cover Charge.
Tomorrow, Progress descends on Ngodza Hideout, Gardener Road Off Acturus Road from 8pm till late. Admission: $5.


Holy Ten, Kae Chaps @Island Of Joy

Hip hop star Holy Ten and Afrobeats singer Kae Chaps perform tonight at Island of Joy in Harare just after Zindoga Robots before Bathroom Boutique alongside Power Fm DJ, Merciless Zim. Admission :$5 VIP:$10


Tomorrow, Holy Ten, Bling4 and Dadza D serenade music lovers at Bindura Country Club Rugby Fields from 3pm till late. Admission: $7 and VIP: $10


Mbira Saturday

Tomorrow, Mbira lovers camp at Changamire Bar in Glenview 1, Makomva as Howard and Dzanambira crew perform from 4pm till late.
