As they say, it’s easier to feel a little more spiritual with a couple of bucks in your pocket! This is one weekend to remember as a stellar cast of performances is lined up across the country to add flavour to the Christmas fever.

Busy Xmas For Baba Shero
Sungura ace Alick ‘Baba Shero’ Macheso has a demanding festive season schedule. After mesmerising fans with a Unity Day special at Dzonzayi Complex in Chipinge, Macheso and the Orchestra Mberikwazvo band head to Watsomba where they will be strumming their guitars back to back with Jah Signal at Mandel Leisure Centre tonight. Jah Signal launched his album ‘Zvakarongeka’ last night in Kuwadzana.

Come Christmas Eve (Saturday) Murambinda yarangarirwa, Macheso alongside controversial raunchy dancer, Beverly Sibanda and the Sexy Angels have lined up a Christmas Eve Bash at Makumbe Paradise Motel from 8pm till late. Admission: Cover Charge.

On Xmas Day sungura and dancehall fans will be jamming to a “Xmas Special dubbed “Kwatakabva” with Baba Shero, Somandla Ndebele and Enzo Ishall performing at Tanza Centre in Chitungwiza, his favourite hunting ground.

Baba Shero will round up his Christmas schedule on Boxing Day (Monday) at Nyamakarwe Lodges and Restaurant in Mutoko supported by Somandla Ndebele.

Sulu Descends On Masvingo
Wezhira Woye! Sulumani Chimbetu and the Orchestra Dendera Kings host a Pre-Xmas Party promoting his latest single ‘Khakhi’ at Club Oasis behind CSC in Masvingo tonight.

Tomorrow, Sulu will blast fans at Odyssey in Kadoma alongside HKD Boss Freeman with a X-Mass gig. Thereafter, Sulu will head to Wedza for the Wedza Arts Festival. Over 90 artists will grace the show.

Come Boxing Day, the dendera kingpin will be at Mushandirapamwe Hotel, Machipisa in Highfield, Harare.

Fiesta Fiesta
It’s fiesta Friday! South Africa-based Zimbabwean amapiano queen “Shasha” will be back at Alex Sports Club tonight. Go ahead and invite all those ‘Pretty Girls’ who love amapiano. Supporting acts include hip hop singer, Hillzy and Tanto Wavie. Ordinary Tickets: $10 and VIP: $30.

Wedza Arts Festival
Music lovers in Wedza and surrounding areas are in for a spin this Christmas following the return of the Wedza Arts Festival, an annual event shelved two years back due to the Covid-19restrictions.

Zora music icon Leonard Zhakata, contemporary crooner, Jah Prayzah and Zim dancehall chanters Killer T, Enzo Ishall, Freeman, Bazooka, Pumacol and many others will grace the feat.

Gospel singers Mambo Dhuterere, Minister Michael Mahendere and Blessing Shumba will also be part of the line-up.

Sungura fans will also be in for a treat as genre legend Alick Macheso dates Mark Ngwazi. Kujata jata hitmaker Bio D.T Mudimba will also add to the mix.

The thirst of dendera fans will be quenched by high riding Sulumani Chimbetu.

‘Fill Up’ @Caravan Park Zvishavane
The mining town of Zvishavane will host a mix of local artistes tonight as Afro-fusion star Mbeu and the Mhodzi Tribe will perform at Caravan Park supported by Shinsoman and Fidel from 6pm till late.

The “Handipere Power” hitmake Nutty O will throng the venue alongside Kinnah, Dj LilTunich and Dj Xhost among others. Entry fee: $5.

Lakeside Xmas Chill
All roads lead to the Graceland Water Resort, Lake Chivero on Xmas where Mbeu meets Trevor Dongo for an epic gig scheduled to start at10am till late. Vazukuru VeAfrica, Pasichigare Mbira, Afromatics, Uj Wald, Princo Spice, Fyah Linkx Sound and Mighty Ducky Sound will give supporting acts. Quadbikes, Zip line and Boat Cruise available. Admission is $3.

Takura @The Boundary
This Friday hip hop lovers are in for a super treat as Takura perform in Bulawayo. Admission: $5 and VIP: $10.

Feli Nandi @Glass Bar n Grill
Back by public demand, Norton’s Glass Bar n Grill hosts singer and songwriter, Felistus “Feli Nandi” Chipendo tonight where she has promised fans ‘An Intimate Night’. DJ Tanaman will play be hosting.

Kurai Makore Rocks Harare
Chimurenga star Kurai Makore and the Black Lions kick start their Xmas holiday tonight at Lady Cee Bar, Kwamukandabhutsu in Msasa from 7pm till late. Admission: Free.

Tomorrow, the Black Lions perform at Little England in Msasa.

On Christmas day Makore performs at Nyaumwe Bar and Garden in Mbare from 8pm till late. Free Entry.

Chillspot Family In Mutare
This Friday Chillspot Family, DJs Fantan, Levels and Ribhe, Enzo Ishall and Ras Caleb serenade fans in Mutare at Old West Community Hall, Penhalonga. Admission: $5 and VIP:$10.

MashUp Fridays
Mashwede Village will be on fire again this weekend. Don’t miss out tonight’s Mashup at this popular joint. DJs Lukie Dee, IROQ, MC MAGGS and Ella Boi will keep you entertained.

Sosho Saturday
Gotchie gotchie lovers Mashwede is the place to be this Saturday with DJs Lukie Dee, Iroq and King Urrah performing from 2pm till late.
