A number of shows are lined up across Zimbabwe this weekend, signalling the return of artists from the January break.

Here are the top events to expect:

Baba Shero, Freeman, Progress Chipfumo In Chitungwiza
Sungura maestro, Alick ‘Baba Shero’ Macheso descends on Chitungwiza’s Damview for what promises to be an epic ‘Famu Show’ as he throws his first gig of the year. To add flavour, Progress Chipfumo and dancehall chanter Freeman will be part of the gig and fans are in for a treat at Dam View this Saturday. Admission: $10.

Fiesta Fiesta
Extroverts, the first Fiesta Fiesta gig in Harare is just a few hours away! Tomorrow all roads lead to Longcheng Plaza as multi-talented South African artist Musa Keys performs supported by local Zim dancehall chanter Poptain, hip-hop musicians Crooger and Kikky Badass. DJs on rotation will include Chicknosis, Storm, Mc Cut, Mc Illy and many others. Entrance: $10 and VIP $50.

Douglas Chimbetu In Chegutu
Musician Douglas Chimbetu and the Orchestra Dendera Band are set to perform tonight at F & G Sports Club in Harare. Entry is free.

Tomorrow, the band serenades fans in Chegutu at Gatsi Sports Bar from 2pm till late. Entrance: $3

Baba Harare In Byo
Jiti musician, Baba Harare will this Saturday perform at Nkulumane Shopping Complex celebrating the “Choppies Big Birthday Bonanza”. Don’t miss out on this promising encounter.

Mbeu @ Sherwood Golf Club
Newly married Afro-fusion singer Ashton “Mbeu” Nyahora and his Mhodzi Tribe band stage a show tonight in Malbereign from 7pm untill midnight. Admission is free. Cars pay US$5/car.

Tocky Vibes @ Glass Bar & Grill
Award winning Zim dancehall artist Obey Makamure aka ‘Tocky Vibes’ will be hosted by DJ Tanaman at Glass Bar & Grill in Norton tomorrow. No cooler boxes and outside beer will be allowed.

Enzo Ishall In Byo
Zim dancehall chanter, Enzo Ishall will be rocking Bulawayo this Saturday at the Palace Hotel. Admission: $3

Nutty O, Voltz JT In Chisipite
Dancehall star Nutty O and Drill singer Voltz JT will be offering their multitude of fans their first live performance this year celebrating the Karma Club’s anniversary at Chisipite shopping centre.

2023 Ignition Party
Mutare will be on fire tonight as multi-talented musician Poptain is set to thrill fans at Club Mandisa from 8pm till late. Admission: Cover Charge.

Sniper Storm In Hurungwe
Dancehall chanter Donald Chirisa aka Sniper Storm is set to perform at a music gala in Chibara village, Hurungwe North under Chief Kazangarare alongside the Zimbabwe Republic Police Band from 10am to 6pm. Talented artists from the area will also spice up the gala.

MashUp Friday
Mash it up tonight at Mashwede Village, where an array of activities are set to get fun lovers going. Lots of booze, special braai meat and platters will be available to make the night worthwhile. Performances by DJs Lukie, Iroq, Ella Boi and many more.

Pansula Nite
Don’t miss out Pansula Nite at Mashwede Village with Kwabatsha Asante Mo dance group from Bulawayo tonight. Dress code: All-star.

Sosho Saturday
Make a date with Mashwede Village this Saturday and experience pleasure at first hand. DJs Lukie Dee, Iroq and King Urrah will be taking turns to thrill fun lovers from 2pm till late.

Super Sunday
It’s going to be a super exciting Sunday at Mashwede Village as they celebrate renowned disc jockey Bernard Fato, affectionately known as DJ Iroq’s birthday.
