It is yet another eventful weekend on Zimbabwe’s entertainment scene with music lovers in for a bash as artists storm the country with live crowd-pulling performances you would not want to miss.

Here is a summary of the weekend shows lined up for you:

Alick Macheso In Glendale
Sungura kingpin Alick Macheso and the mighty Orchestra Mberikwazvo start the weekend at Kotwa Leisure Centre where the crooner will be introducing his sons Esau and Tatenda Macheso and Cheso Boys to the fans, as the music talent blossoms in the family.

Tomorrow Baba Sharo and his band bring fireworks to Mashonaland Central at Club 007 in Glendale supported by fellow sungura musician Josphat Somanje and Somanje Stars from 8pm till late. Admission: $5

Sulu @Sherwood Golf Club, Marondera
Dendera ace Suluman “Sulu” Chimbetu descends on Sherwood Golf Club for a live performance tonight from 7pm till midnight. Admission: $5 per car.

The Asscomm and his Orchestra Dendera Band wind up the weekend at Chipiwa Gardens (KwaMasaiti) in Mashonaland East, Marondera for the Winter Warmer Bash alongside music diva Selmor Mtukudzi and Pengaudzoke frontman Faheem Somanje from 7pm till late. Admission: $5.

Nicholas Zakaria In Mahuwe, Matepatepa
Veteran sungura artist Nicholas “Madzibaba” Zakaria and the Khiama Boys will tonight pump up the jam at Mujaya Complex in Mahuwe from 8pm till late. Admission: $5.

Tomorrow, the “Senior Lecturer” will perform at Granta Hall, Pamusharukwa in Matepatepa from 8pm till pungwe. Admission: $3

Killer T In Canada
Talented Zim dancehall chanter Killer T and the Hot Property Band take their “Tiri VemumaStreets” album tour to North America in Canada for lined-up shows throughout the weekend. Tonight Killer T lights up the faces of his fans at Union Hall in Edmonton.

Tomorrow, he blasts National Event Venue, in Toronto eventually wrapping up the tour at Suite62 in Montreal.

Zim Dance Hall Fiesta In Mabvuku
Ghetto youths and Zim Dancehall lovers are in for a feat in Mabvuku tomorrow as Boss Pumacool, Jah Master, Bazooker, Kae Chaps, and many others storm Kasi Kasi Bar for an explosive gig. Admission: $5.

MercilessZim Birthday Bash
This Saturday all roads lead to Wood Auditorium, Longcheng Plaza where talented artists celebrate Power FM radio presenter Charlton “Merciless” Nyevera’s birthday. Dubbed “Merciless Birthday Mayhem”, the gig will fuse dancehall musicians Nutty O, Uncle Epatan, Ndunge Yut, hip hop stars Voltz Jt, Bling4, and Afrobeats singer Boi Shona and Kae Chaps in what promises to be a thriller. Admission: $5 and VIP:$10.

Freeman @Club Zone
Dancehall superstar Freeman and the HKD Band will storm Club Zone at 4292 Machipisa Complex opposite the Rank tonight supported by several DJs from 6pm till late. Admission: Cover Charge.

Catch up with Freeman tomorrow as he rocks Wadzanai Stadium in Shamva together with dancehall finesse Daruler and hip hop singer Saint Floew from 3pm till late.

Enzo Ishall In Kwekwe
Zim dancehall star and “Kanjiva” hitmaker Enzo Ishall is set to throng Hollaz Kalamazuu tomorrow from 12pm till late. Ordinary Tickets: $5 and VIP: $15

Tocky Vibes & Feli Nandi In SA


Multi-talented singer Tocky Vibes back to back with songstress Feli Nandi warm up Newton Factory in Johannesburg tonight before proceeding to Pretoria’s Club Yolo this Sunday from 5pm till late supported by several DJs.

The stars Admission: R100 and VIP: R300.

Andy Muridzo In Karoi,Chirundu
Jam lovers in Karoi camp at Chikangwe Tavern as Andy Muridzo and Jeetaz Band perform tonight from 8pm till late. Admission: $5

Tomorrow, Andy Muridzo showcases his talent at Lake Haverst Sports Club from 8pm till late alongside Afro-jazz singer Simba Chikomo and Afro Peace among others. Admission:$5

This Sunday, the Jeetaz crew perform at Off Road N/C in Chirundu alongside Jac and Afro Voice from 8pm till late. Admission: $5

Progress Chipfumo In Warren Park
Sungura musician Progress Chipfumo and Sounds of the Motherland perform tonight at Mazhizhizhini Nite Club, kwaPrecious in Warren Park D, Pafukwa from 8pm till late. Admission:$3

Esau & Tatenda Macheso In Chinhoyi
Alick Macheso’s sons, Esau & Tatenda are set to perform at Yolla Bar, Pamatura, Eldorado Mine this Saturday from 7pm till late supported by Kadoma-based sungura musician Solo Moyo. Admission: $5

Peter Moyo In Tafara
Join Sungura musician Peter Moyo and Utakataka Express tomorrow alongside the upcoming Strive Shava and Kuwadzana Massive Band at B&B Nite Club from 8pm till late. Admission:$3

Winter Warmer Party
Get warm by the fire and some Jagermeister at the Winter Warmer Party set to be held at Jongwe Corner in Harare this Saturday from 6pm till late. Don’t miss out on Gudfit international, Mc Gudo, Zimdj Fitzroy and DJ Sticko Fyah.

Sugar Sugar In Budiriro
Sungura crooner Sugar Sugar and the Samaita Express storm Budiriro’s Time and Place Nite club with a performance tonight.

Gala For James Dambadza Chikerema
All is set for a gala in honour of Cde James Robert Dambadza Chikerema who contributed to the rise of nationalism and independence of Zimbabwe this Saturday in Karoi. Artists headline for the gala includes Suluman Chimbetu, Sabastian Magacha, Tambaoga, Macheso’ sons, Blessing Shumba, Jah Master and others.
