Music lovers are guaranteed another weekend full of treats as artists specialising in different genres fuse at various nightspots to give fans some unique experience countrywide. Lined-up gigs coincide with the folding of the month which promises to be one never to forget.

Chillspot Returns To Club Zeus

Yes, you got it right. If you missed their maiden appearance at Club Zeus last weekend, grab another opportunity to wine and dance with the Chillspot Family this Sunday as they conduct “Barn Yard Sundays”. This is a new edition to the elegant club’s endless list of entertaining acts that will usher you into the new week.

Giants Clash @ Aquatic Complex

Fireworks are expected tonight as Zimbabwe’s greats clash at Chitungwiza’s Aquatic Complex.

Sungura giant Aleck Macheso will be at his favourite hunting ground for a clash with talented contemporary artist Jah Prayzah alongside dancehall chanters Freeman HKD and Enzo Ishall.

Rapper Holy Ten and talented songstress Feli Nandi will also blast fans with their touch. Admission: Standard $10, VIP $30 and $50 for VVIP.

Sulu, Andy Muridzo Clash

Dendera and contemporary music fans in Harare are in for a treat tonight as Suluman Chimbetu and Andy Muridzo clash at the Harare International Conference Centre(HICC) for an epic gig dubbed “The Dendera Xperience ” from 10pm. Tickets are available at the Rainbow Towers for $10 per head.

Nyanga Festival

This Saturday, Montclair Hotel and Casino is the place to be in Manicaland as the Nyanga Arts Festival roars to life. Suluman Chimbetu and the Orchestra Dendera Kings, Sarungano Storytellers headline the event which is expected to explode with fun. Admission: Advance $15, $20 at the gate.

Chegutu Music Festival

Chegutu will be a hive of activity on the entertainment scene tomorrow as dancehall greats throng the Magandi Park for an epic music festival. Seh Calaz, Chillspot Family, Silent Killer, T Gonzi, Brian Jack, Hwinza and Tipsy will be performing live all night to the enjoyment of fans.

DJs Sinja K, Denny, Zanda, Slater, Tafex K and MC Tkayz will be rotating at the turntables. Admission: $5 advance, $10 at the gate while kids pay $2 from 11am till late.

Dino Mudondo Invades Avondale

Tonight Dino Mudondo who had been on a sabbatical from the music scene will throng Avondale’s Position Bar & Grill sampling songs for his upcoming album Back2Front.

Famed for his fusion of reggae and kwasa kwasa genres, Mudondo will be offering a free gig starting at 7pm till late.

Killer T Rocks South Africa

Globetrotting dancehall sensation Killer T will be in South Africa this weekend with a bombastic package for his fans. Tonight he will be at Kempton Park Civic Centre performing at the Summer Festival.

EXQ, Kinnah and another surprise act will be there to back him up including several DJs.

Tomorrow he will grace the Summer Braai Festival at Kara Lounge in Pretoria where Zimbabwean and South African DJs & MCs clash.

Kinnah and EXQ will perform supporting acts worthwhile. The two gigs attract an admission of R150 general, and R250 VIP before 9pm.

Killer T will round off his busy weekend schedule with a performance at Rumours Lounge in Randburg alongside Chad Chellart.

The gig titled “One More Night” will see DJs Warrior, Logic, MC Tboss and Stramma.

There will also be a birthday bash for Mannex. Admission: R150 after Manex’s birthday bash.

Peter Moyo Ignites Steak House

Sungura musician Peter Moyo will be at his best this Sunday at Steak House in Waterfalls, Harare celebrating his late iconic father, sungura giant Tongai Moyo.

Baba Harare, Progress Chipfumo, Amadhuve Sasha, Ngunge Yut, Master Kay, Shinsoman, First Farai, Somandla Ndebele, Solo Moyo and Gushungo are expected to keep the dance floor busy from till late.

Progress Chipfumo, Police Band Meet

Sungura artist Progress Chipfumo will clash with the highly entertaining Police Band tonight at Club Joy Centre in Highfield, a gig dubbed “Weekend Hideout”.

On Saturday he will invade Zimbabwe’s biggest Beerhall, Chigarapasi in Chiredzi where he is hosting a free show from 10pm celebrating Mbuya Muchehiwa’s birthday.

Lastly, he will tantalise fans at a family show lined up for Pamview Complex (along Willowvale Road) in Harare this Sunday.

He will be supported by the Same Street Family and Sanchez with the Black Roots Crew from 3pm. Admission: Cover charge.

Nutty O Globetrotting

Talented songwriter and reggae-dancehall artist Nutty O finds himself in Australia this weekend with a gig lined up at Superfly Studios in Brisbane from 9pm.

On Saturday he travels to Perth for a gig at Afro-Authentic Lounge starting at 7pm to 2am.

He will conclude his tour of Australia on Sunday with a show at Revel Night Club in Melbourne from 5pm. Kazz Khalif and Tanaka Siziba will be supporting him all the way with their acts.

Ladies Summer Hangout

Coachouse Inn will be blazing on Saturday with a “Ladies Summer Hangout” to be headlined by Urban Grooves and RNB singer Trevor Dongo. He will mesmerise the ladies supported by MC Neymar, DJs T Cee, Kalala, Exx and Ganjah from 11am till late.

Blot Album Launch

Controversial dancehall chanter Blot will sparkle at Werras Park tomorrow as an array of artists will be performing live as he launches his album “Ndiri One”.

Silent Killer, Hwindi President, Hwinza, Ndunge Yut, Culture Love, Uncle Epatan, Jah Master, T Makwikwi, Humba, and Dadza D among others will throng the joint with their mesmerising performances from 6pm.

MCs: Etherton B, Templeman, Abisha Palmer and Super Yut will be clashing with DJs Cables, Tanaman, Masaka, Inno and School Boy to make the night out of this world. Admission: $3 early birds, $10 VIP.

Hip Hop, Zim Dancehall Clash

All roads lead to Pagomo Roundabout Garden in Marondera where Voltz Jt, Chillspot, and Uncle Epatan will be at their best as Zim Hip Hop singers clash with Zim dancehall artists.

Summer Festival

The third edition of the Osbourne Summer Festival is this Saturday and fans are in for a spin as Baba Harare, Saintfloew, Templeman, DJ Tanaman and many more are more than ready to thrill fans.

There will be lots of activities including swimming, boat rides, quad bikes, horse rides and many more. Admission: Advance for adults, $ 5 and $10 at the gate.

Doek Fest

Attention! Ladies in Rusape an epic gig is lined up for you at Lakeview this Saturday from 11am till late.

Dubbed “Funky Doek Fest”, the gig is expected to keep you on the dancefloor as surprise artists and DJs are expected to tantalise you with their live performances. Admission $5.

Slaycode will be orange, white, pink and emerald green plus doek shades. Cooler boxes are allowed!

Mbeu Rocks Pakare Paya, WhiteCliff

Versatile contemporary artist Mbeu and The Mhodzi Tribe have a date with his fans at Pakare Paye in Norton tonight from 7pm till late. He will be backed by Fidel Country Boy, and Prince Boyah among others. Admission: $5.

Tomorrow he will be entertaining fans and guests at the grand opening of a Choppies Supermarket branch in Whiteclif, Harare from 9am to 4pm.

Selmor @ Sherwood Golf Club

Talented singer and songwriter Selmor Mtukudzi will be blasting quality Tuku Music at Sherwood Golf Club in Harare tomorrow from 7pm to midnight.

Mannex Invades Chop Chop

Reggae crooner Mannex Motsi and the Zimreggaestra Band have a date with fans at Chop Chop Restaurant on Saturday night. Loads of entertaining acts on the cards.
