Theatre In The Park Hosts Baba Shero
The undisputed king of Sungura, Alick Macheso, will tonight host the Executive Sungura Night at Theatre in Park. Absurdly though, admission is a mere US$10. With Macheso’s crowd-pulling super powers and the fact that this is the other side of Samora Machel – Theatre in the Park is likely to become a tiny venue tonight. Nonetheless, this is one show every music enthusiast must not miss. This is a must-attend event.We will, of course, be updating you all the way on our various platforms and after the show. Jongwe Corner
Family and friends should not miss this joint on Sunday as charismatic performer, Sulumani ‘Sulu’ Chimbetu will host a family show back to back with one of the late Oliver ‘Tuku’ Mtukudzi’s mentees, Afro-fusion musician Mbeu real name Ashton Tapiwa Nyahora. Event will kick-off at 1pm.
Zima Reunites KVG, Phathisani
The Zimbabwe Music Awards (Zima) is an event known for its glitz and glamour. We expect no less tomorrow at Newlands Country Club in Harare. If the hype surrounding the event is anything to go by – revellers could be in for a treat. The unmatched combination of Kudzai Violet Gwara (KVG) and Phatisani Sibanda is likely to set the venue ablaze. These two, who became a national sensation following the success of their hugely popular “326 Express” show on Star FM, are a drawcard on their own. On the downside though – not everyone is going to enjoy the party as the event is a red carpet affair, strictly by invitation.
Cocktails & Cupids Day
It’s Valentine’s all over again. Lovers are set to be treated to an intimate affair by ‘Juzi Rako’ hitmaker Kudakwashe Chapepa, popularly known as Kae Chaps at the Tanyaradzwa Initiative ‘Cocktails and Cupids’ event in Avondale tomorrow from 2pm.
Mangwenya At Woods, Pakare Paye
Mbira maestro Diana Samkange is set to attend the Zimbabwe Music Awards ceremony before proceeding Woods where her friend, socialite Faith Candy is throwing a lavish birthday party. On Sunday, Samkange heads to Pakare Paye where she is set to host an event supported by the Black Spirits.
Criminal Bhatiri Music Show
Zim dancehall fans should be on the lookout for a blistering live show to be hosted on by Criminal Bhatiri Music at Budiriro 5B hall. The show will also be broadcast online.
Poetry Red Carpet
Are you passionate about poetry? Well, Nhau/Indaba will be the plug for poetry events. The Poetry Red Carpet event is a celebration, a night where poets are honoured. The event is promising. Do not miss the event tomorrow from 4pm to 7:45pm at Jason Mpepo Little Theatre.
