The Easter vibe is in the air this weekend – guaranteeing fun lovers a healthy dose of entertainment from their favourite spots and performers.

Here are some of the gigs lined up:

New Look Liz Hotel & Nightclub Opens
Revellers in the heart of Harare are in for a treat as a new look Liz Hotel and Night Club opens its doors to the public tomorrow tonight. The famous joint housed at corner Robert Mugabe and Julius Nyerere Way, is set to renew the yesteryear vibe associated with that busy night spot which had lost its lustre after the closure of the hotel.

News of the closure of Liz Hotel last year left regular revellers who frequented the joint stunned, but the new look club is set to win back their hearts with its new trendy look.

Under the management of Zimbabwe’s ‘Uncle in Showbiz’, Divine Assignments, nightlife will never be the same again.

The official opening will be hosted by DJ Sammy Benz (The Veteran) featuring MCs Kedha, Flame Ndombele, Pidoh and Supayut.
DJs Jah Rhodzah, Ishman, Joe Mentro, Abra Nash, Philjah, Obsession, Brendoh, Muller and Mango Loops will be at their best taking turns at the turntables.

Devine Assignments Launches Club 263 In Ngezi
The platinum town of Ngezi will be a blast tonight as Devine Assignments descend on the town with an official grand opening party. Nightlife will be redefined in the town as guest DJs All-Star and L Zee rock the party alongside resident DJs.

Makhadzi In Manicaland
Tonight all roads lead to Manicaland province as SA music sensation Makhadzi shares the stage with contemporary singer Andy Muridzo, Zim dancehall chanter Killer T, DJs Fantan and Levels, and hip-hop star Voltz Jt. They will be supported by other local DJs on deck. The gig is being hosted by Zimbabwe’s biggest music-promoting company, Chipaz Promotions at Manicaland Motoring Club. Ordinary  Tickets: $10, VIP: $20, VVIP: $50

Alick Macheso & Andy Muridzo In Chinhoyi
It will be a fiesta at Chinhoyi’s Jongwe corner this Sunday as sungura king Alick ‘Baba Shero’ Macheso serenades fans back to back with contemporary musician Andy Muridzo and the Jeetaz Band. Gig starts at 2pm till late. Admission: $10 and Kids: $2.  


However, Baba Shero will be in Chitungwiza tonight for a gig with dancehall singer Jah Signal at Tanza Bar and Night  Club.


Tomorrow, music lovers are in for a spin as Andy Muridzo and Jeetaz Band perform at Konke Restaurant and Bar (18848 Eastlea, along Robert Mugabe way).

UK SAMA Festival
High riding sungura musician Mark Ngwazi makes a date with fans in United Kingdom’s Leicester tonight where a welcome party is being hosted at Kapital Venue.

Tomorrow, the crooner will be performing at Ramgarhia Ulverscroft Road in Leicester where the Sama Festival UK will be running. A blend of genres is set to thrill fans. Other artists expected to grace the event include Gemma Griffiths, Seh Calaz, Enzo Ishall, Holy Ten, Saintfloew, Ndunge Yut, Tipsy and Y2K Fab 5Live Band 

On Sunday the artists host a family show at Kapital Venue to shut down the weekend fever.

Suluman Chimbetu @ Harare City Bowling Club
Dendera musician Suluman ‘Sulu’ Chimbetu and the Orchestra Dendera Kings kick off the weekend at Harare City Bowling Club (Cnr Herbert Chitepo & Park Lane) from 7pm till late. Admission:$10 and VIP:$20.

It’s a family thing! Tomorrow Sulu treads the boards alongside his cousins Tryson and Douglas Chimbetu supported by Tatenda and Esau Macheso at Mushandirapamwe Hotel in Machipisa Highfield from 8 pm till late. Admission: Cover Charge.

Back by public demand, Dendera Kings wrap up their weekend with a family show this Sunday at Foodnest Restaurant (Longcheng  Plaza).

Tiri Vemuma Streets Official CD Launch
Jongwe Corner Harare presents Zim dancehall chanter, Killer T’s ‘Tiri Vemuma Streets Tour’ as he officially launches his album supported by fellow dancehall chanter Freeman, the HKD Boss tomorrow in Harare. Ordinary Tickets: $5 and VIP: $10.

Tonight Freeman and the HKD Band serenade fans at Vital Lounge in Shurugwi supported by DJ Thunder, DJ Nelz, Master Kanner and many others.

Baba Harare @ RBZ Sports Club
Make a date with the Jiti family tomorrow as Baba Harare serenades his fans at RBZ Sports Club (Sherwood Drive Malbereign) with Musabvunda Fitness trainer. Music and food to be served.

Mbeu In Ruwa
Have a Good Friday with Afro-fusion singer Ashton “Mbeu” Nyahora and the Mhodzi Tribe Band as they perform tonight at Red Eagle from 6pm till late.

Easter Sunday Family Show @Madhadha Pub & Grill
Revellers in Waterfalls are in for a treat as Afro-pop singer Tocky Vibes, dancehall chanter Uncle Epatan, Judgement Yard, Chimurenga star Kurai Mukanya Makore and the Black Lions rock Zindoga shops from 2pm till late.  Admission: $5 and VIP: $10.

Bush Party
Party lovers rejoice and buckle up this Saturday. Party with family and friends at Alex Sports Club. Performances by South African singer Mlindo The Vocalist born Lindokuhle Mgededza,  Afro pop star Garry Mapanzure and hip hop singer Bling4 from 7pm till late. Admission: $10.

Feli Nandi @ Konke
Extroverts are set to have a good Friday as Zimbabwean songstress Feli Nandi entices fans tonight at Konke Restaurant and Bar (18848 Eastlea & Robert Mugabe Road) from 7pm till late. Admission: $10.

Tomorrow, Feli performs at Glass Bar in Norton at 6pm supported by Bishop Mockery and Killi Killi.
 
Talking Guitars In Chitungwiza
Music lovers in Chitungwiza camp at Small Stone(Chitungwiza  downtown Industrial area) tonight from 6pm till late. Admission: Cover Charge.

Tomorrow the band performs at Leisure Centre in Ruwa from 4pm till late.

Theatre In The Park Hosts Willom Tight
Afro Jazz singer, Willom Tight  will be in high spirits for a show at Theatre In The Park in Harare tonight. Don’t miss out!

Anti Drug Campaign In Bindura
Zimbabwe local musicians are off to Mashonaland Central as hip hop musicians, Suhn, Ti Gonzi, Tanto Wavie, Crooger, Kiky Badass, dancehall artists Boss Pumacol, Uncle Epatan, Lasper and many others bring the curtains down at Chipadze High School Grounds tomorrow. Entry is free.

Bira Remadzisahwira
Mbira lovers are in for a good treat this Sunday as Mwenewazvo and Shasha Legends Band perform at Pagomo Bar in Kambuzuma Section 3 support by Lee Mashakada.

Easter Bira
Mbira star Howard and Dzanambira crew will be at Pagomo Bar and back by public demand this Saturday  from 5pm till late. Free entry.
