Zimbabwe’s artists continue to serenade their multitude of fans and mean business this weekend with a number of gigs lined up throughout the country and beyond our borders. Find a spot to hang out with friends or family to ease those thoughts on your mind.

Here is what to expect:

JamAfro Music Festival In UK

What an epic weekend for African music lovers in the United Kingdom as all roads lead to Ramgarhia, Leicester tomorrow for this year’s JamAfro Festival. Sungura King Alick ‘Baba Shero’ Macheso and dendera music crooner Suluman “Sulu” Chimbetu and Orchestra Dendera Kings clash on stage to show-off their brilliant works. The gig is promising fireworks as they will share the stage with South African amapiano great Ndivhudzannyi “Makhadzi” Ralivhona, Botswana’s finest Vee Mampeezy and Winnie Nwagi.

“Back To My Roots Fest” With Killer T In Mbare

This Saturday all roads lead to Harare’s oldest suburb, Mbare, where talented dancehall chanter Killer T and the Hot Property Band return ‘home’ to serenade fans with their latest offering ‘Tiri Vemuma Streets’ album. Taking place at the Mbare Netball Complex, the eagerly awaited dancehall fiesta will fuse Enzo Ishall, Kinnah, Hwinza, Hwindi President, Silent Killer, Ndunge Yut, Boi Shona and Blot together on stage. Hip hop singers Saint Floew and Voltz Jt will also add to the performance alongside many others. Admission: $5 and VIP: $15.

Musa Keys In Gweru

Music lovers in Midlands are in for a treat tonight as South African music producer, Musa “Musa Keys” Makamu performs at Milan Restaurant supported by local artists Voltz JT, Saint Floew and King98.

‘Mesi’ At Padziva

Comeback renowned sungura musician Paradzai Mesi, whose illustrious career almost took a nose-dive into oblivion is back with a bang and has a gig dubbed the “One Big Party” at Padziva in Dzivarasekwa Extension back to back with Jiti sensation Baba Harare from 8pm till late. Admission: $3.

Baba Harare In Zvishavane, DZ Padziva

There will be no break for Jiti kingpin Baba Harare this weekend as he jump-starts his busy schedule with a promising performance at Zvishavane’s Caravan Park alongside hip hop star Holy Ten and DJ Fydale at Caravan Park.

Tomorrow, he will be back in Harare for a show alongside sungura crooner Paradzai Mesi.

Baba Harare winds up the weekend alongside contemporary musician Andy Muridzo and Jeetaz Band for a “Family Show” at Jongwe Corner in Harare. Admission: $5 and VIP: $10.

Andy Muridzo In Mutorashanga

Newly married Andy Muridzo will get back to business showcasing his talent alongside sungura musician Senator Tichareva and Skylimit Express at Country Club from 8pm till late tomorrow. Admission: $5.

‘Sugar Sugar’ & Progress Chipfumo In Highfields

Sungura musician Taruvinga “Sugar Sugar” Manjokota and Samaita Express who has been quiet for some time is now back in business. Tonight he will stage a show with fellow sungura star Progress Chipfumo and the Sounds of the Motherland at Club Joy Centre in Highfields.

Simon Mutambi In Mount Darwin

Sungura fans in Mashonaland Central will also have a share of entertainment as Simon Mutambi and the Orchestra Cobra Kings perform tonight at Tiringindi Gardens. Admission: $5.

Cookout Zim

Food lovers are in for a treat this Saturday which offers a grooving atmosphere with friends and family at Alex Sports club for the ‘Cookout Zim’ feast. There will be loads of entertainment with performances by South African amapiano singer Justin 99 and Pcee. Local DJs Madeherbelieve, Selekta Base and many others will be rotating at the turn tables to make the entire event epic. Admission: $10 and VIP: $20

Harare Health Expo

Ladies and gentlemen a medical bonanza is lined up this weekend. There will be a free medical treatment and consultation exercise this Saturday hosted by Nyasha Zenda from Forever Association Zimbabwe at Nifa Ground in Kambuzuma section 4 from 10am. Zimdancehall artists Bazooker, Boss Pumacool,Guspy Warrior, Dadza D, Kalabash and many more will be chanting throughout the event to ease those tensions. Free entry.

Kurai Makore @Theatre In The Park

Chimurenga musician Kurai Makore and the Black Lions will tonight rock Theatre In The Park at Harare Gardens. Don’t miss out!

Mannex Motsi In Avondale

Reggae lovers camp at Postion Bar & Grill in Avondale tonight as Mannex Motsi and Zimreggaestra Band perform from 7pm till late.

No 🔞 Party

If you are 18 and above, Holly’s Hotel is the place to be tonight for a lined up gig for grown ups. DJs Jah Rhodza, Flex, Abra Nash and Sexy beautiful ladies will be rocking it all night at the turn tables.

DJ Pido Party

Tonight Club Akiz hosts DJ Pido’s ‘Earthday Party’ that will see Lady Storm and Lukko perform alongside several DJs. Hosts MC Ndombele and Kedha will be at their best.

Freaky Friday

Get freaky this weekend at Club263 in Mutare featuring NashDJ and other guest DJs.
