By Ray Munyoro

Peter Moyo has engaged different musicians and instrumentalists for his forthcoming album titled Maricho KwaMoyo.
The development will see renowned guitarists and drummers from a number of sungura groups working with the Utakataka Express leader on the project set for release this April.
Baba Harare, Tatenda Pinjisi and Madiz have already put their input on the album being recorded at K.O.M Studios by Knowledge “Nodza” Nkoma and Oscar “Skido” Chamba.
“It’s a unique approach and I have engaged a number of instrumentalists from different groups to work with me. Some of them have already recorded, the likes of Baba Harare, Madiz and Tatenda Pinjisi,” said Peter.
“The idea is to come up with something unique and special for the fans.”
The Utakataka Express leader said the idea behind the project is also to show that music is not for competition but bringing the best for fans.
“Music lovers will get a feel from top guys in the game. I am working on bringing a number of musicians together,” he said.
Nhau can also reveal that Somandla Ndebele will feature on the album while efforts are being made to get a hand from Alick Macheso and his Orchestra Mberikwazvo.
Suluman Chimbetu’s Knowledge Nkoma is part of the project.
“From the dendera front Nodza has already contributed and we will see Somandla Ndebele also coming in. As the name of the album implies, I have just invited them to put their hand on the project,” he said.
“We are not abandoning the Utakataka sound and my band members will be part of the project too.” Nhau/Indaba
