Sungura artist Tatenda Pinjisi, who leads the Holy Super Sounds band, has finally answered calls from his fans who had been asking about his whereabouts.
He has unveiled a seven-track album titled “Vadyi Venhaka” and will be released next week.
The songs, which make up the album, are Chikuranzira, Holy Ten, Mbereko (Trade), Handicheuke, Zimbabwe, Tichafara (Kanindo) and Maune.
“The name ‘Vadyi Venhaka’ came through as a result of the understanding that the earth is not a permanent place for us, rather we have somewhere where we will go and enjoy our heavenly inheritance (nhaka) after we have conquered the problems of the earth.
“So, the album carries a revelation which needs people to take time to listen to and analyse the messages and understand what they are supposed to do to enjoy the heavenly inheritance.”
He added: “I was supposed to stop whatever I was doing, understand what God wanted, not singing bible verses for the sake of singing, catching cruise and chasing clout but, as a preacher, teaching the world what really needs to be done.”
Pinjisi is grateful for the support he is getting from Tamlink Investments and Wealth Bag logistics.
“When I stopped singing, promoters stopped engaging me.
“We also had those who only wanted to work with me because of the success of Saina and they, too, stopped engaging me.
“But, we are no longer doing this to be noticed but preaching the gospel.
“So far, promoters are starting to come and these are the ones who want to promote the gospel.”
The Holy Super Sounds band leader said that he couldn’t feature other artists on his new album because he felt that, on his return, people must feel his touch.
“I am looking forward to having some collaborations after this album because people’s thirst would have been quenched by Vadyi Venhaka.
“I only engaged comedians in my videos to entertain our fans,” said Pinjisi. H-Metro
