The late Robert Gabriel Mugabe’s son Robert Junior made a surprise appearance at a Zanu PF rally in Chitungwiza where President Mnangagwa has a star rally.
In pictures circulating on social media, Robert Junior was spotted shaking hands with Mnangagwa.
He was also pictured in the company of Emmerson Mnangagwa Junior.
In another picture he is seen sitting beside controversial Prophet Passion Java.
In a short video clip that has gone viral on social media, the late President’s son said Zanu PF was the only political party he knew from childhood and was present at the rally to support the legacy left by his father.
“I thought I should come and support the brand. It’s a family tradition. Since I was born, all I know is Zanu PF ….I was born a Zanu PF child so it is only right that I continue the legacy,” he said.
Robert and his siblings Bona Mugabe Chikore and Chatunga Bellarmine are currently supporting their mother, former First Lady Grace Mugabe in a fierce battle to stop the exhumation of their father from his Zvimba homestead to the National Heroes Acre which is against the late deposed President’s wishes.
