Showbiz: Uncle Waffles Rocks H-Town

Hello Zimbabwe, it’s your girl Mazzeltov back with the weekend update just as the Southern hemisphere slowly slides into wintry weather, which we have already had a taste of in the last few days.

So here is my advice – always carry a jacket or sweater, even that one which you stashed in your closet moons ago. That way you will always enjoy the night without regret. Anyway here is what’s up…

It’s A Gala @ City Sports Bar Tonight
Takaenda Takaenda is the motto tonight, and you might wonder; where is it that we are off to? Ku City Sports Bar (Mafarochete) for Shepy Tarzy’s birthday celebrations. This showbiz animal decided to flex his muscles for his big day. He has brought in some heavy hitters that include Dendera King (Suluman Chimbetu), Roki, Jah Signal, Oskid, T Gonzi, Uncle Epatan, Ba Shupi and whole lot more entertainers to this mega bash. This is one not to miss. Admission is only US$5.

Killer T Gets Busier
Tonight, Killer T “The Chairman” is going to perform live at the Parkview Pub and Grill. Tomorrow the Zim dancehall chanter performs at Eyadini where he will be supported by upcoming artists, Roxieybiey, GDA Fire, Bry and Zagoe among others.

Dreams Club Comes To Life
South African Rapper Gigi Lamayne, will tonight perform at Dreams for the Fiva Fest concert from 6pm till regulated time. Tickets for the concert are US$15 for general admission and US$30 for the VIP.

Uncle Waffles Live In Harare
This is probably the BIGGEST event of the weekend. South African social media sensation Lungelihle Zwane, better known by her stage name Uncle Waffles, will be in town for Fiesta tomorrow. This chick is the talk of the world right now, and bringing her to Harare is a huge coup by Chucknosis, DJ Fujee and their partners Impala Music Group. Zvamanje manje ndiye arikupisa Uncle Waffles. The show is at its new home – Reserve Bank Sports Club. Supporting her will be Anita Jackson, DJ CSkillz and of course Ama2000s favourite rapper, King 98.

Macheso Stages Rare Family Show
And for sungura lovers, team rangu remagitare – this one has been put together especially for you. Andy Miller Hall (at the Exhibition Park) is the place to be this Saturday as we welcome the King of Sungura, Alick ‘Baba Shero’ Macheso from the United Kingdom where he performed at the SAMA Festival. The Sungura King will be supported by Jean Masters and Amadhuwe Sasha among other artists. It is a family show starting at 2pm. Tickets are US$10 but the first 100 ‘Early Birds’ will pay US$5.

Midlands Charity Show In Gweru
Another Family Fun day is set for the Midlands capital where Poptain, Jah Master, Bazooker, Rascaleb, Shashl and Pumacol will doing what they know best – entertain. The hugely popular Chillspot Family is also set to perform at the Mkoba Stadium show tomorrow from 9am till late. Tickets for kids cost US$3, US$5 for the general public and US$20 for VIPs.

Mannex Motsi & The Zim Reggaestra Band @ Chop Chop
Mannex performs at Chop Chop (Hebert Chitepo branch) tomorrow from 6pm till late. And as has become the norm – on Sundays the reggae band thrills fans at Jongwe Corner from 4pm till regulated times.

Talking Guitars In Southerton
The Live band JukeBox performs tomorrow at Pattis Shops in Southerton from 7pm till late. Admission mahara. The Band will also perform in Kuwadzana 2 this Sunday. Admission mahara zvekare.
