State Assisted Funeral For Top Banker Munatsi

President Mnangagwa has granted the late top banker Douglas Munatsi a State assisted funeral.

This was announced by the Chief Secretary to the President and the Cabinet, Dr Misheck Sibanda in a statement Thursday morning.

“His Excellency the President, Cde Dr E. D Mnangagwa, has directed the late Douglas Munatsi who passed on earlier in the week be accorded a State- assisted funeral. The Office of the President and the Cabinet will liaise with the bereaved Munatsi family to ensure this directive by His Excellency the President is effected,” said Sibanda.

Munatsi died early Monday morning in a mysterious inferno that raised down his pent house at the upmarket Northfields apartments in Harare.

Police are eager to question a woman only known as ‘Colleta’ who is believed to be one of the last persons to be in contact with him according to security at the building. Nhau/Indaba
