Warriors To Host Nigeria In Rwanda For FIFA 2026 World Cup Qualifier

The Zimbabwe Warriors are set to play their FIFA 2026 World Cup home qualifier match to Nigeria in Rwanda following a ban imposed on the National Sports Stadium by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The qualifiers begin this November.

Zimbabwe are in Group C of the 2026 Fifa World Cup African qualifiers together with Nigeria, South Africa, Benin, Rwanda and Lesotho.

The Warriors begin their campaign away in Rwanda on November 13.

A week later, they host Nigeria in a home match which will be played in Kigali.

Zimbabwe has had challenges with football stadiums even outside the international match schedule.

All Harare based premiership teams have been using the National Sports Stadiums for their home matches after all other stadiums in and around Harare were decommissioned to host football games.

All teams in Harare were, until recently, forced to find stadiums outside the capital after the National Sports Stadium was closed for some repair work. ZimLive
