ZEC Voters Roll Inspection Starts This Weekend


All registered voters in Zimbabwe have been given a final chance to inspect their details on the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission’s (ZEC) voters roll which will be used for this years harmonised elections.

According to President Emmerson Mnangagwa, the elections will take place in August this year although he is yet to announce the exact dates.

Starting this Saturday until May 31, ZEC will open the roll for inspection at all voting centres throughout the country, which will open at 7am until 5pm during the period.

According to ZEC, the cut-off date for registeration for one to be able to vote this year was on or before April 28, 2023.

“Those who registered, on or before 28 April 2023, are encouraged to inspect the voters roll at their ordinary polling stations which have been designated as inspection centres for purposes of this voters roll inspection exercise…Registrants who regeisterd up to the 28th of April can also use the USSD code *265# for netOne and Econet subscribers to inspect their details using their mobile phones, ” ZEC Chief Elections Officer Utoile Silaigwana said.
