Despite a surge in Covid-19 cases in some parts of the world, football continues to thrive with a number of Zimbabweans seen in action at the weekend.
Tino Kadewere started as Olympique Lyon bowed 1-0 to Metz in Sunday’s French Ligue 1 encounter with Aaron Iseka scoring late.
Lyon had gone for 16 games without defeat only to be shocked at home by the visiting Maroons through the Belgian striker of Congolese descent.
The result left Les Gones third on the standings, with 40 points – two behind joint leaders PSG and Lille.
Kadewere was later withdrawn in the second half.
Warriors defender Tendayi Darikwa made his debut for Wigan Athletic in their 3-3 draw against Rochdale.
