There is more to modelling than just looking pretty in front of the camera – modelling is a business and it is critical that aspiring models approach it as they would any other job – professionally.

In this industry, there is no such thing as “too young” to start. Bouyed by this belief, Anesu Chichi Sabina Mandevani (20) is aspiring to become a professional and defy all odds.

Based in Mutare, Chichi is a trained fashion, commercial, photographic, ramp and runway model.

She started her modeling career in 2020.

The runway model is currently studying lifestyle coaching, professional grooming, modelling and social media influencing to enhance her modeling skills and techniques.

She draws her inspiration from multi-millionaire model Naomi Campbell.

Her contract with Size Four modelling agency since 2020 has made her a full time model, working as an assistant coach.

She is a certified global model.

Driven to support other women, Chichi advises fellow models to be focused in achieving their goals, aiming higher, being humble, patient and hard-working.

In an interview with Nhau/Indaba, Chichi said one of the biggest challenges she faces is the negative feedback on social media.

“However I have managed to overcome that by being determined, making a positive space for myself and doing my level best to always be in good books with those I work with,” she said. Nhau/Indaba
