Covid-19: Chitungwiza town clerk begs Govt for assistance


Chitungwiza is experiencing a sharp increase in Covid-19 cases, which has seen Acting Town Clerk Dr Tonderai Kasu pleading with central Government for help in tackling the growing problem.


“For the period 1-14 January 2021, Chitungwiza recorded a total of 262 cases. The numbers for Covid-19 cases keep increasing against the background of inadequate financial and human resources,” said Dr Kasu.
Chitungwiza City has total of 596 confirmed cases of coronavirus infections and 36 deaths.


“I am appealing to central Government, as well as other donors and partners for resources to help us deal the growing challenge that is before us,” he said. Nhau/Indaba
