Hip Hop Is Safe: Crooger

Rapper “Crooger” Gurure insists the future of Zim Hip Hop is in safe hands.

This follows the release of his single titled Lola, featuring Phatso.

The rapper believes he nailed it on this single, which is set to endear him with fans.

In an interview, the Mucheka Dzafa singer revealed that he was determined to save Zim Hip Hop.

“I’m more focused on my game more than what other people are doing.

“All we need to do is to keep the genre’s future safe, and it is in safe hands.

“He vowed to continue working hard and collaborating with other rappers.

“Music is my calling and I can’t afford to stop doing what I like most, especially churning out new songs.

“I am determined to learn from others for my personal growth.”

Crooger, who hails from a clique of hip hop artists known as 40 Gang, has released three albums in his musical career namely Road to Fame in 2013, Shumba Inoruma (2018) and Koncrete (2021).

The first song, which introduced him to the Zim hip hop fraternity, was Mabroke Dudes, which he released in 2013.

That same year, he took a break from music to further his education at university level.

Since then, he has released a couple of songs which did pretty well in Zim hip hop circles – Muteuro and Ginger, released in 2020. H-Metro
