Kadewere Finally Gets Golden Boot Award

Lyon striker Tino Kadewere on Sunday received his 2019/20 Golden Boot award after finishing as the top-goal scorer in the French Ligue 2.

Kadewere was presented with the award during the warm-up of Lyon’s 4-1 win over Monaco on Sunday night.

He had banged 20 goals in 24 games for Le Havre in the second division.

Lyon posted pictures of Kadewere receiving the award before the match while being embraced by teammates.

Kadewere made his seventh league appearance of the season against Monaco and lasted 81 minutes, getting involved in the build-up of two goals.

He started the move that gave the hosts the lead through Memphis Depay 12 minutes into the match.

The 24-year-old then set up Toko Ekambi for the second goal.
The former Harare City forward, who has one goal for Lyon, seem to be adapting at Le Gones having opened his scoring chapter against Strasbourg last week.

Kadewere is part of the key players for Zimbabwe ahead of the back-to-back AFCON qualifiers against Algeria next month.

Kadewere’s fine form is something that will excite Warriors coach Zdravko Logarusic who is plotting against the Desert Foxes.

He is expected to lead the strike force with the likes of Captain Knowledge Musona, Khama Billiat and Prince Dube among others. Nhau/Indaba
