Police have warned the public to be on the lookout for an armed man who allegedly shot dead a prophet, junior ZRP commissioned officer and another man before fleeing in Wedza Friday.
Another policeman was left critically injured after the shooting.
In a statement National Police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the suspect is driving a new shape Toyota Allion, registration number AFW7641 and white in colour.
The suspect who is currently on the run allegedly visited an apostolic sect gathering in Wedza where he reportedly shot dead a prophet.
After the incident he reportedly turned his weapon on police officers who had reacted to the crime scene and allegedly shot dead the Officer-In-Charge of Wedza police station.
He also shot another policeman who was part of the reaction team and critically injured him.
The suspect is reported to have driven his vehicle to Mukamba Business Centre where he shot dead another person before driving away to an unknown destination.
Asst Comm Nyathi warned members of the public to approach the suspect with caution and urged anyone with information to report to the nearest police station.
