Mapeza confident ahead of Simba date

FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza is confident his side will post a positive result when they face Tanzania’s Simba SC in the CAF Champions League first round second leg on Wednesday.

The Zimbabweans are carrying a 1-0 lead having won the first leg played at the National Sports Stadium a fortnight ago.
And speaking ahead of the clash against the East African giants, Mapeza said nothing is special about them.

“We came here to compete, we are here to get a result. No team is unbeatable even Barcelona, Manchester United get beaten. So there is nothing special about Simba SC,” said Mapeza.

Mapeza was responding to a question about how he felt considering the Tanzanian outfit’s impressive home record. He said the same team lost at
home in the last campaign, a feat the Zimbabweans can achieve.

“Last year, they were beaten by UD Songo. Anything is possible in football, if UD Songo can get a result here, we can also still do the same,” said Mapeza.

He, however, admitted that it is not going to be an easy task. “I know it is going to be tough, but we can still get a result,” he added. Nhau/Indaba
