Zifa are set to submit their CHAN squad with 10 extra players in
case some fail to recover on time.
Fourteen members of the Warriors CHAN team tested positive for the coronavirus, including nine players who are in isolation awaiting another test after 10 days.
And the country’s football body, which is racing against the Wednesday deadline, are said to be submitting a 33-man squad list to CAF for the tournament that will start on January 16 in Cameroon.
The main list has 23 players and the second one has 10 stars who are on standby.

Warriors manager Wellington Mpandare said the development is meant to counter any possibilities of bad news.
“Yes, we are submitting a list of 33 players to Caf,” Mpandare told Nhau Sport.
“We are sending the names of the 23 players that are in camp and the 10 that are on standby.
It’s a situation we have to explain (to CAF).”

Meanwhile, Zifa has sought clearance to travel to Cameroon from the Sports and Recreation Commission following a blanket ban on all sporting
activities in the country.

The association has also applied that FC Platinum, who are currently in Tanzania, be exempted for their CAF games.
