Urban Grooves 2023

Ama90s rejoice and buckle up for a top-billed Urban Grooves Concert set to bring you into memory lane this weekend. Entertainers, Roki, EXQ, Decibel, Tererai, Xtra Large (Maroja), Stunner, Madiz, Plaxedes Wenyika, Dino Mudondo, Willom Tight, Shinsoman, Maskiri, Trevor Dongo, Pauline and many others will electrify The Venue with their yesteryear vibes that took the country by storm over a decade ago. Make a date with your favourite urban groover at 23 Kenny Road, Avondale courtesy of Kayse Connect this Saturday from 5pm till late. Annual Winter Festival

Music lovers in Manicaland are in for a spin this weekend as contemporary music superstar Jah Prayzah, dancehall singer Killer T and Abisher Palma drag their multitude of fans to Nyanga’s Montclair Hotel and Casino for a massive Annual Winter Festival. Don’t miss out! Admission: $40, with advance tickets available for $30.

Sulu, Selmor For Fathers Day

Dendera ace Suluman “Sulu” Chimbetu will descend on Steak House in Ardbennie Harare, this Sunday celebrating Father’s Day in style alongside Selmor Mtukudzi with a family show dubbed “Dendera paKatekwe”.

The dendera kingpin has something for fathers in mind. If you are a father hold tight for you might be in for a surprise from your family to commemorate this special day.

Macheso In Bikita, Chipinge, Checheche

As has become the norm, this will be another busy weekend for sungura supremo Alick “Baba Shero” Macheso, who takes his 55th birthday celebrations to the grassroots. Tonight he will be performing live at Bik Min Sports Club in Bikita with his Orchestra Mberikwazvo Band from 6pm till late. Admission: $5

Tomorrow, Macheso will light up the faces of his fans in Manicaland with a massive show in Chipinge organised by the Dzonzayi Group of Bars at Gaza “O” within their complex from 8pm till late. Admission: $5 He will wrap up the weekend at Zineku Beer Garden in Checheche from 8pm till late. Admission:$5

Tight Schedule For Mbeu

Afro-fusion fans are in for an epic treat tonight as Ashton “Mbeu” Nyahora and his band perform live at Afropolitan Plaza in Madokero from 8pm till late. Tomorrow, Mbeu storms Pamahuswa Liquorama (99 Seke Road, Hatfield) from 5pm till late. Admission: Cover Charge.

The talented guitarist winds up the weekend celebrating Father’s Day in style at Gava Restaurant in Belgravia this Sunday from 1pm to 5pm. There will be an African cuisine lunch honouring all fathers. Free Entry.

Killer T & Enzo Ishall @ Island Of Joy Talented Zim dancehall chanter Killer T and the Hot Property Band will tonight take his “Tiri Vemuma Streets” album tour to the Island of Joy (just after Zindoga Robots before Bathroom Boutique along Simon Mazorodze Road). He will be supported by fellow dancehall singer Enzo Ishall while DJs Bvongo and Cholo take turns at the turntables. Admission: $5

Tomorrow the two chanters join Jah Prayzah for their gig in Nyanga.

Progress Chipfumo @ Kulez Bar

Sungura musician, Progress Chipfumo and Sounds of the Motherland perform at Kulez Bar, Corner Charter, and Harare Street from 4pm till late alongside Strive Shava and the Kuwadzana Massive Band tonight. Tomorrow, he descends on Mukanya Night Club with a ‘live and level’ performance alongside Amamadhuve Sasha at Zindoga Shops in Waterfalls, Harare.

Voltz Jt, Nyasha David, Kae Chaps @Emagumeni

‘Kachest Kelove’ hit makers are up for a live performance this Saturday at Helensvale shopping centre. Surely you can’t afford to miss this trio’s performance supported by several DJs. Admission:$5

Bhebha Hitmakers @ Karma

XDUppy, QuayR Muziq, FTears and Shaunmusiq, South African Amapiano “Bhebha” hitmakers will be rocking Karma Lifestyle Restro Club this Saturday in Chisipite supported by DJ Madeherbelieve, DJ Rimo, and many others.

Midlands Burnout

Hip hop singer Holy Ten and dancehall musician Silent Killer, Ace Frvr, Kead Wilkead, and DJ Masty showcase their talents at “Midlands Burnout” this Saturday in Gweru.

Saint Floew & Hwindi President In Chinhoyi

Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT) students are in for a super treat this Friday as Jongwe Corner hosts “Semester Closing Friends Edition” that will see hip hop star Saint Floew and dancehall chanter Hwindi President bring down the curtain. Admission: $5, VIP:$10.

Talking Guitars @ Club Hideout

Don’t miss out on Talking Guitar’s performance alongside Platinum Queens this Saturday at Club Hideout, Lochinvar, Harare from 7pm tlll late. Admission is free.
